The Training and Placement Cell of Mahant Bachittar Singh College of Engineering and Technology, Jammu, organized a seminar on 5th Dec, 2024 on career options in Atomic Energy as part of the Outreach Programme of Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC). BARC, a leading institution in the field of atomic energy, has been instrumental in advancing nuclear science and technology in India since its establishment in 1954. The seminar provided insights into the world of atomic energy and the diverse career opportunities available for aspiring individuals.
The event commenced with a welcome address and expressions of gratitude to the esteemed guests, Dr. Sabyasachi Rout and Dr. Sandeep Kumar Sharma. Dr. Rout, a Scientific Officer at BARC, shared information about the research activities and power production capabilities of BARC across India. Dr. Sharma discussed various career opportunities in atomic energy, including eligibility criteria and application procedures. The seminar concluded with appreciation for the valuable insights provided by the guest speakers and BARC, as well as gratitude to all participants for their enthusiastic presence.
