A two-days workshop on “Cloud Computing” was organized by M.B.S College of Engineering & Technology, Jammu where more than 100 students participated. Ms. Jyoti Taylor software trainer from All Soft Solutions and Services Pvt. Ltd, Business Partner of IBM, Chandigarh along with Mr. Sahil Sharma Assistant Manager was the resource persons, who conducted the workshop proceedings for two days, which included insight of Cloud Computing technology and practical aspects for building the career. On the second day, Architecture and design that can be translated into a database with its implementation was discussed with a small project.
Prof. Anjani Kumar Principal MBSCET in his inaugural speech appreciated for conducting workshop and desired to conduct such more programs in the college campus. Prof. Amrik Singh (Vice Principal) presented momento to Ms. Jyoti Taylor the resource person and also presented vote of thanks. Mr. Sahil Sharma Assistant Manager All Soft Solutions thanked the college management for inviting them. Among others who were present were Prof. A.S.Sudan (OSD), S. H.S. Gill (DSW), Prof. Surinder Sharma (HOD CSE), Prof. Rakesh Sanbyal (HOD IT) and other faculty of the different departments.

A one day “Career Path Orientation Workshop” was organized on 29-08-2018 at MBS College of Engineering & Technology, Jammu in the college Auditorium for the students admitted in 1st semester of different streams. Sh. Puneet Arora CEO, Ecologic Corporation (H.P.) was the resource person, who delivered lecture on Tools & Ideas for New Age career Growth, New Age Computer Labs for job preparations, Current job market & Entrepreneurship, Impact of Quantum Computing on Careers, Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Jobs, the coming of singularity Simulated future & skills of tomorrow. Prof. (Dr.) Anjani Kumar, Principal presented memento to the visiting resource person. Prof. Amrik Singh Vice-Principal presented vote of thanks.

MBS College of Engineering and Technology today the forth day of their induction organized a lecture by Mr. Rohit Ranjan from Art of living. The art of living foundation is a volunteer based, humanitarian and educational non government organization which was found by Sri sri Ravi Shankar in 1981. Art of living has centers more than 156 countries.
Mr. Ranjan in his lecture enlighten the audiences that how u can get rid of stressed life by laughter therapy and by some other means. He also had a healthy interaction with the senior students of our college.
Dr. Anjani Kumar (Principal), Prof. Parveen Singh (Dean academics), Ms.Sarbjeet Kour and Ms. Preeti Koul Assistant Professors from Applied sciences were the part of this event accompanied by other staff members.

Ms. Ravinder Pal Kour (Head, MasterPrep & Canam Institute) delivered a lecture to freshers and other students, helping them how they can pursue higher education in abroad that included-

1. Career Counseling especially for those who want to pursue studies abroad.
2. PTE, IELTS, TOEFL, SAT such programs offered with high success rates.
3. 24 offices in India.
4. GRE to excel in Graduate Record Exam.
5. GMAT to pursue management courses abroad after graduation.

Translab Innovations Pvt. Ltd. selected a total number of 14 students  as Junior Technical Specialist.

Telecom Network Solutions Private Limited, Noida conducted a placement drive on 2nd June 2018 at M.B.S.C.E.T. A total number of 5 students were recruited from 8th semester as Graduate Engineer Trainees (GET).
