JKEDI hosts workshop on Semiconductor Design Led ESDM
220 students of SMVDU, MIET, GCET, MBS College, SKUAST-K, NIT Sgr participate
Mahant Bachittar Singh College of Engineering and Technology, Jammu students attended a one-day workshop on “Semiconductor Design Led ESDM: Exploring the world of Semiconductors & AI: J&K” hosted by JKEDI. The workshop aimed to discuss the future of semiconductor technology in India and propel Jammu & Kashmir into the digital age. The event featured industry experts, academicians, and innovators, including Dr. M.J. Zarabi, Founder of R&Z Technologies, and Prof. (Dr) B. L. Raina, Founder of R&Z Technologies, who shared valuable insights on the semiconductor industry and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
With India’s semiconductor market projected to reach $63 billion by 2026, workshops like these are crucial for fostering research, innovation, and skill development. The Director JKEDI, Rajinder Kumar Sharma, emphasized the importance of semiconductor technology in shaping India’s digital future and nurturing an environment for innovation and entrepreneurship. The event received enthusiastic participation from engineering students and industry professionals, both physically and virtually.
The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks to the speakers and participants for their valuable contributions.
