A seminar was conducted by Winnovation Education Services at M.B.S College on 27th April 2019. Prof. Amrik Singh welcomed the resource person Mr. Dinesh Kumar, Director (SOTI), Mr Sarvinder Singh and Mr. Sudhir. Mr. Dinesh Kumar addressed the students of 4th and 6th semester and make them aware of emerging technologies in the industry and focused on skill development along with engineering to achieve their goal in industry. A vote of thanks was given by Prof. Amrik Singh for conducting such a seminar and focused on placement of students through Winnovation Education Services. Among other present in the seminar were Prof. Surinder Kumar (HOD, CSE) and Prof. Jaswinder Kour (HOD, IT).
Techno-Cultural fest organized by MBSCET Jammu
A two days Techno-Cultural Fest, “AAROHAN-2K19” inaugurated today in the MBSCET Campus Jammu. Jb. Talat Parvez Rohella Secretary Higher Education J&K Government was the Chief Guest where as Prof. R.K. Ganjoo CDC University of Jammu was the Guest of Honor on the first day of the function.
The inaugural event started with the lighting of tradition lamp by Jb. Talat Parvez Rohella, Prof. R.K. Ganjoo, Prof. Parveen Lehana University of Jammu, Prof.(Dr.) A.S.Sudan Chairman MBSCET, S. Lakhbir Singh Bawa Advisor , Prof. Anjani Kumar Principal, Prof. Amrik Singh Vice Principal, Prof. Parveen Singh Dean Academics, S. H.S. Gill DSW, S. Janak Singh Ji, S. Manmeet Singh Aman, S. Jaspal Singh followed by Ganesh Vandana by the college students.
Prof.(Dr.) A.S.Sudan Chairman, presented welcome address, who showcased history of the college and its achievements. Jb. Talat Parvez Rohella in his address appreciated the college management and the students for organizing such function. He suggested some ways and means for further achieving new heights in future. He suggested flagship of the college like MBS must undertake faculty and students exchange programs for their exposure with institutions of the repute in the country like IITs / NITs. He called upon the college management to establish skill development centre (Hunar / Unnat centre) in the college and to take the steps to prepare students for self-employment and to make them employment providers. In his concluding remarks he assured for all type of help from Government side whatever is required for the development of the college. Prof. R. K. Ganjoo in his address stress that the university has undertaken initiatives to modify the syllabus to make the student as per the need of the market scenario and advised the college faculty to assist the university for the same. He also suggested to introduce skill development / vocational courses and appreciated the college management for taking the flagship of the college to its new heights.
Alumni achievers in different areas and students winners of various events were also felicitated by the college management. Principal Prof. Anjani Kumar presented vote of thanks. Prominent among others present during the function were Prof. Hardev Singh, Dr. Arjan Singh, Dr. S.P.S Dutta, S. Tarlochan Singh (PSB), S. Iqbal Singh, HODs, faculty as well as students. The function was compered by Simranjeet Kour, Randeep Singh, Navneet Kour and Rasleen Kour.
Mahant Bachittar Singh College of Engineering & Technology, Jammu organised one Day Workshop on “Future of Nanotechnology in Bio Informatics” on 16/01/2019. Dr. VIJAY KUMAR ARORA, PROFESSOR WILKES UNIVERSITY, USA was the resource person. The workshop was organized by the departments of “Electronics and Communication Engineering” and “Information Technology Engineering” department of the college in collaboration with the “Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE)”, Jammu centre.
Prof. Vijay Kumar Arora, discussed on amalgamation of Bio-Informatics with Science and Engineering, including Nano Culture, Nano Robots, Nano Electronics etc. and key notes about the future of Nanotechnology. Staff members and students of ECE & IT Engineering Department attended the workshop.
Prof. (Dr.). Amar Singh Sudan, Chairman, MBSCET addressed the audience and highlighted the importance of this workshop for students in the near future.

Prof. Parveen Singh (Dean Academics) was the convener of the event. Prof. Amrik Singh, (Vice Principal), S. H.S. Gill, (DSW), Heads of the Departments, Er. Sameer Sharma (Vice Chairman, IETE), Prof. Pawnesh Abrol (Professor, University of Jammu), Er. Vijay Sharma and Er. Joy Ganjoo from IETE were also present. Plantation drive was also carried out in the college premises by the dignitaries.
Mementos was presented to the distinguish guests. The workshop was coordinated by Prof. Anil Gupta, (HOD, ECE), Prof. Jaswinder Kour (HOD, IT) and Prof. Tinny Sawhney (ECE Department). Prof. Surinder Kour Bali anchored the entire program.

A two-days workshop on “Cloud Computing” was organized by M.B.S College of Engineering & Technology, Jammu where more than 100 students participated. Ms. Jyoti Taylor software trainer from All Soft Solutions and Services Pvt. Ltd, Business Partner of IBM, Chandigarh along with Mr. Sahil Sharma Assistant Manager was the resource persons, who conducted the workshop proceedings for two days, which included insight of Cloud Computing technology and practical aspects for building the career. On the second day, Architecture and design that can be translated into a database with its implementation was discussed with a small project.
Prof. Anjani Kumar Principal MBSCET in his inaugural speech appreciated for conducting workshop and desired to conduct such more programs in the college campus. Prof. Amrik Singh (Vice Principal) presented momento to Ms. Jyoti Taylor the resource person and also presented vote of thanks. Mr. Sahil Sharma Assistant Manager All Soft Solutions thanked the college management for inviting them. Among others who were present were Prof. A.S.Sudan (OSD), S. H.S.
