MBSCET Organises Seminar on ‘Recent Advances in Industrial Engineering’

The Department of Mechanical Engineering of M.B.S.C.E.T organised a seminar on ‘Recent Advances in Industrial Engineering’. Harinder Pal Singh, Assistant Professor presented the welcome address.

Principal MBSCET, Prof Anjani Kumar appreciated the department for organising such seminar so that students may have an exposure and vision of advances in the field of technology. Prof (Dr.) A.S Sudan, Chairman, M.B.S.C.E.T, discussed the values of upcoming branch of Industrial Engineering and Management and its future. Dr. Sanjay Mohan Sharma, Assistant Prof SMVDU, Katra was the Resource Person, who discussed the importance of increase in productivity and ways to decrease manufacturing cost.  Around 200 Students of Mechanical Department and faculty members were present during the session.

MBSCET Organizes Industrial visit to Cadila Pharmaceuticals Ltd. Samba, Jammu

MCA Department of Mahant Bachittar Singh College of Engineering and Technology organized one day industrial visit to Cadila Pharmaceuticals Ltd. Samba, Jammu on 9th of May 2019. Students were accompanied by Mr Pankaj Malhotra (HOD MCA), Mr Sandeep Singh, Ms Palmeet Kour, Ms Vaishali Malhotra, Ms Randeep Kour, Ms Pooja Sharma from MCA department. On their arrival at the industry, HR Head Mr. Manjeet Kumar welcomed the students and staff. After that students were escorted to the seminar hall where Mr Dinesh Jain, Plant Head, gave a presentation on the technical grounds and interacted with the students. Mr Bubnesh Kumar Engineer Head , demonstrated the students about the entire functionalities and automation involved in the manufacturing of pharmaceuticals along with their UMANG team. In the end Ms Palmeet Kour (MCA Deptt) thanked team of Cadila for their Cooperation and sharing their information. Such exposure will definitely help students to acquire real time knowledge of what they have been learning theoretically or practically and also thankful to Cadila team for their support and hospitality.cadilla-jammu-2019

 

A Seminar by Winnovation Education Services Pvt. Ltd.

A seminar was conducted by Winnovation Education Services at M.B.S College on 27th April 2019. Prof. Amrik Singh welcomed the resource person Mr. Dinesh Kumar, Director (SOTI), Mr Sarvinder Singh and Mr. Sudhir. Mr. Dinesh Kumar addressed the students of 4th and 6th semester and make them aware of emerging technologies in the industry and focused on skill development along with engineering to achieve their goal in industry. A vote of thanks was given by Prof. Amrik Singh for conducting such a seminar and focused on placement of students through Winnovation Education Services. Techno-Cultural fest organized by MBSCET Jammu

A two days Techno-Cultural Fest, “AAROHAN-2K19” inaugurated today in the MBSCET Campus Jammu. Jb. Talat Parvez Rohella Secretary Higher Education J&K Government was the Chief Guest where as Prof. R.K. Ganjoo CDC University of Jammu was the Guest of Honor on the first day of the function.

The inaugural event started with the lighting of tradition lamp by Jb. Talat Parvez Rohella, Prof. R.K. Ganjoo, Prof. Parveen Lehana University of Jammu, Prof.(Dr.) A.S.Sudan Chairman MBSCET, S. Lakhbir Singh Bawa Advisor , Prof. Anjani Kumar Principal, Prof. Amrik Singh Vice Principal, Prof. Parveen Singh Dean Academics, S. H.S. Gill DSW, S. Janak Singh Ji, S. Manmeet Singh Aman, S. Jaspal Singh followed by Ganesh Vandana by the college students.

Prof.(Dr.) A.S.Sudan Chairman, presented welcome address, who showcased history of the college and its achievements. Jb. Talat Parvez Rohella in his address appreciated the college management and the students for organizing such function. He suggested some ways and means for further achieving new heights in future. He suggested flagship of the college like MBS must undertake faculty and students exchange programs for their exposure with institutions of the repute in the country like IITs / NITs. He called upon the college management to establish skill development centre (Hunar / Unnat centre) in the college and to take the steps to prepare students for self-employment and to make them employment providers. In his concluding remarks he assured for all type of help from Government side whatever is required for the development of the college. Prof. R. K. Ganjoo in his address stress that the university has undertaken initiatives to modify the syllabus to make the student as per the need of the market scenario and advised the college faculty to assist the university for the same. He also suggested to introduce skill development / vocational courses and appreciated the college management for taking the flagship of the college to its new heights.

Alumni achievers in different areas and students winners of various events were also felicitated by the college management. Principal Prof. Anjani Kumar presented vote of thanks. Prominent among others present during the function were Prof. Hardev Singh, Dr. Arjan Singh, Dr. S.P.S Dutta, S. Tarlochan Singh (PSB), S. Iqbal Singh, HODs, faculty as well as students. The function was compered by Simranjeet Kour, Randeep Singh, Navneet Kour and Rasleen Kour.
