Industry Visit for 6th Sem Mechanical Engg. 2019 Batch

Training & Placement Cell of Mahant Bachittar Singh College of Engineering and Technology, Jammu on 30th August, 2022 (Tuesday) organized Industrial Visit for students of 6th Semester, Mechanical Engineering Department 2019 Batch in Jammu & Kashmir Milk Producer’s Co-operative Limited (JKMPCL), Satwari (Jammu). Students were accompanied by Mr. Harinder Pal Singh (Assistant Professor, Mechanical Engineering) & Mr. Ravinder Kumar (Head, Training & Placement). Mr. Sardar Chand (General Manager, JKMPCL) welcomed the students & Staff. Er. Bhawani Lal Kurre (Production Officer) demonstrated the students about the entire functionalities and automation involved in the plant and also provided live experiences in different units of Industry. MBSCET Management & Students are thankful to entire team of JKMPCL for making aware with different technical aspects in their industry.

Mahant Bachittar Singh College of Engineering and Technology (MBSCET), Jammu and National Institute of Technology (NITK), Karnataka, Surathkal joined hand to promote digital Learning in the J&K (UT). In pursuit of the same a webinar was organized jointly by NITK, Surathkal and MBSCET, Jammu on August 26, 2022. The objective of the webinar was to train the faculty members in conducting virtual labs in the field of engineering and sciences. The virtual labs is an online platform where the experiments can be performed without the physical instruments or machinery. The beneficiaries of the event will be the aspiring candidates who want to do engineering rather than just read engineering.

The event was hosted by Dr. Ritesh Sharma (Associate professor), Department of Mechanical Engineering, MBSCET, Jammu and chaired by Prof. K.V. Gangadharan, Professor in Mechanical Engineering and Head of the Centre for System Design, President, Institute Innovation Council, NITK, Surathkal. Dr. Sheena, Associate Professor, School of Management NITK Surathkal was the guest of honor.

Department of Applied Sciences and Humanities (APSH) of MBSCET under the patronage of Prof. Sarbjeet Kour HoD APSH (Convener CSA)organised Talent Hunt competition for first semester students. Chairman of the college, Dr. Amar Singh Sudan was the Cheif guest where as Dr. D. S. Pundhir (Principal MBSCET) and Sardar Lakhbir Singh Bawa(Advisor MBSCET ) were the guest of honour . Dr. Amrik Singh(Vice Principal) Prof. Parveen Singh(Dean academics ) and Sardar H. S. Gill (Director students welfare)special guests on the occasion. Prof. Shalini, HoD ECE department, Prof. Surinder Kour Bali, HoD IT department and H. S. Gill were the jury members. The event began with
the lighting of lamp followed by colorfull performances of first semester students. The students participated in different categories namely poster making, painting, rangoli making, best out of waste, dancing, singing etc. The other faculty members present on the occasion include Prof. Jasmine Kour, Prof. Sudesh Kumari, Prof. Natesh Kumar, Dr. Deepshikha Verma, Dr. Sehar Shakeel Raina and Prof. Sugandha Sharma.
