Mahant Bachittar Singh College of Engineering & Technology (MBSCET) conducted a Technology Webinar on “Digital Disruption 3.0 – Scope & Opportunities”, in association with Winnovation Education Services Pvt. Ltd. – a pioneer Breakthrough Technology Education Services Company.

Webinar started with a Welcome Address by Prof. Ravinder Bhardwaj – T&P Cell Incharge, MBSCET.

Sarbarinder Singh – Director – Winnovation Education Services in his Inaugural Address spoke about the importance of Digital Disruption and its need to become the next BIG THING and not just staying relevant.

Ravinder Pal Singh – a Senior Technology Business Leader, Consultant and Evangelist in Digital Transformation was the Speaker in the Webinar.

Mr. Singh is the Founder and CEO of Merkado RHA Technology Pvt, Ltd. and Gokaddal Technologies (Dubai). With 25 years of Industry experience and handling Leadership Positions in Giants like Cisco, Dell and Wipro, Mr. Singh emphasized on the importance of Skills in Emerging Technologies for Students. Citing examples from Live Industry scenario – Digital Disruption and Career opportunities arising out of it were well explained.

Mr. Singh offered Internships to the Students and encouraged them for Technology Start Ups and ensured Seed Funding to relevant Start Up ideas.

Mahant Bachittar Singh College of Engineering and Technology, Jammu (MBSCET) conducted a Corporate Employability  Program (CEP)workshop for Budding Engineers . Winnovation Education Services Pvt Ltd , A  very well know and Reputed Gurgaon Based Company  with 360^o Train to Hire Process Engine conducted the workshop . Students and Faculty went through the latest Employability Opportunities, Jobs available in Industry and Train to Hire process for placement of Students. The 360^o Corporate Employability Program by Winnovation will be Implemented at MBSCET ensuring Trainings, Industrial Visits, Personality Development, Interview Skills, Emerging Technology Certifications Like IOT, Renewable Energy, Big Data Analytics, Cyber Security, BlockChain, Cloud Computing. Two Experts from Industry Mr. Deepnashu Rathore from Yatra.com and Mr. Dinesh Kumar from SOTI India gave a lecture to the students on latest technology trends and Job opportunities in the Market. Mr. Deepanshu Rathore conducted a two day workshop on JAVA from 19^th November to 20^th November 2019 and explained its usage. He explained about the working style of Full Stack Java Expert and guide students for their development as an expert in JAVA. This Program is Designed By Industry, Delivered by Industry Professionals, Delivered at Campus of college. It is a 360 ^o Holistic Train to Hire Placement Ecosystem and students Joining the Program. This is a new initiative and first of its kind in Jammu and Kashmir for benefit of Students.

Students will now get exposure to Experiential LEARNING and Industry Collaboration right from the day they join the college. Mr. Sarbarinder  Singh -Director Winnovation started this event.In a landmark decision MBSCET and Winnovation has collaborated with a Long term Strategic MOU for Industry Collaboration , Setting up a Industry  Excellence Center, Bringing Placement assistance and delivering  Industry Oriented programs at College Campus.

Prof. Amrik Singh(Vice Principal) in his conclusion of the workshop program highlighted the Digital Age Technology and employment opportunities for MBSCET students and emphasized on the benefits of Industry backed Train to hire program.

Mahant Bachittar Singh College of Engineering and Technology (MBSCET) Jammu organized industrial visit for the students of 7th semester, Electrical Engineering Department at Salal Power Station Reasi, which is first hydropower project of the J&K state and was commissioned in 1996 on the Chenab River by National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC).

Mr. KasimRazi, Sr. Manager (Electrical) and Mr. Bodh Priya Ashok, Asstt.Manager (Electrical) explained the students about the design of the project contained a two stage powerhouse generating 690 MW of power. He also apprised that J&K (UT) receives 34.39 percent of the energy and rest is distributed to other states like Punjab (26.60%), Haryana (15.02%), Delhi (11.62%), Uttar Pradesh (6.95%), Rajasthan (2.95%), Uttarakhand (1.21%), Himachal Pradesh (0.99%), and Chandigarh (0.27%). The learning session was followed by interactive Questions & Answers round, wherein the students shared their queries.The officials and Students of MBSCET expressed gratitude to officers of power stationfor making aware with different technical aspects ofSalalHydroelectric Power Station.

25 Students from M.B.S.C.E.T were shortlisted in “Startup Weekend” program organized by Indian Army in Technology Business Incubation Center (TBIC), SMVDU, Katra for innovative ideas, minimum viable product, prototype creation & drives sales through effective communication on 20th, 21st & 22nd of September, 2019. Prof. Ravinder Kr. Bhardwaj, Head (Training & Placement Cell) had coordinated the stuents for the event.

Mahant Bachittar Singh College of Engineering and Technology, Jammu in collaboration with EQUATE India, New Delhi organized three days workshop on “Meeting Challenges of Accreditation by NBA” held on 13^th to 15^th September, 2019.

In his address, Prof. (Dr.) D. S. Pundhir highlighted the importance of Accreditation of an Institution.

Dr. R. N. Mathur (Founder President) & Dr. Rajni Bhatnagar (Managing Director) delivered lectures and also made presentation to all the faculty members & Heads of Departments to showcase the importance of being accreditated institution. Experts conducted interactive session to follow the steps of NBA Accreditation to improve the quality standards of teaching in Engineering College and also focused on teaching learning process.

In the end of the workshop, Prof. (Dr.) Amar Singh Sudan Chairman, MBSCET, motivated to all faculty members to achieve their respective goals regarding NBA Accreditation. Valedictory function was organized in which Prof. (Dr.) Amar Singh Sudan awarded certificates to the participating faculty members. Vote of thanks was presented by Prof. Amrik Singh (Vice Principal)
