The Department of Mechanical Engineering of M.B.S.C.E.T organised a seminar on ‘Recent Advances in Industrial Engineering’. Harinder Pal Singh, Assistant Professor presented the welcome address.
Principal MBSCET, Prof Anjani Kumar appreciated the department for organising such seminar so that students may have an exposure and vision of advances in the field of technology. Prof (Dr.) A.S Sudan, Chairman, M.B.S.C.E.T, discussed the values of upcoming branch of Industrial Engineering and Management and its future. Dr. Sanjay Mohan Sharma, Assistant Prof SMVDU, Katra was the Resource Person, who discussed the importance of increase in productivity and ways to decrease manufacturing cost. Around 200 Students of Mechanical Department and faculty members were present during the session.

MCA Department of Mahant Bachittar Singh College of Engineering and Technology organized one day industrial visit to Cadila Pharmaceuticals Ltd. Samba, Jammu on 9th of May 2019. Students were accompanied by Mr Pankaj Malhotra (HOD MCA), Mr Sandeep Singh, Ms Palmeet Kour, Ms Vaishali Malhotra, Ms Randeep Kour, Ms Pooja Sharma from MCA department. On their arrival at the industry, HR Head Mr. Manjeet Kumar welcomed the students and staff. After that students were escorted to the seminar hall where Mr Dinesh Jain, Plant Head, gave a presentation on the technical grounds and interacted with the students. Mr Bubnesh Kumar Engineer Head , demonstrated the students about the entire functionalities and automation involved in the manufacturing of pharmaceuticals along with their UMANG team. In the end Ms Palmeet Kour (MCA Deptt) thanked team of Cadila for their Cooperation and sharing their information. Such exposure will definitely help students to acquire real time knowledge of what they have been learning theoretically or practically and also thankful to Cadila team for their support and hospitality.
